Headlight*brackets*broken -plastic weld?

So I noticed the other day that when my headlights are on, I can see the reflection "jiggling" in the road signs that I pass. I checked it out this morning, and discovered that the plastic bracket that stabilizes my driver's side headlight assemblies is broken . . .

Replacing the whole headlight cluster is out of my budget, but has anyone ever had any luck with a "plastic weld" product? Or should I try and fab up a patch bracket?

I have resin adhesive used in aerospace and the plastic bit stuck together are super strong. You can try something similar but depends on how much area you have to work with, you may need a patch bracket to increase strength.

Is it the top bracket that's broken? There is a repair kit available that costs around a tenner. It's a new one that screws on in place of the old one with a self tapping screw.

If it is your top one I'll try to dig out the part number and let you know.

Audi sell a repair kit for the headlamp housing - 8Z0 998 121 which costs around £10
It looks like a replacement bracket is included but its not clear if you get adhesive as well. If its of interest, your dealer may advise what's in the kit

Just spotted fast typing Iain beat me to it
