Project Doris

I like it, it's subtle enough for my tastes :)
Yes I think so too and also it matches the red leather ;):p

Looking forward to meeting you again at Kimbolton and HEU ?

I also thought the A2OC badges would also match the red callipers :)

My calipers on Jelly are red and on Spud they are yellow. Used Hammerite, 2 coats for a good shine. Had some real stick today up and down Scottish mountain roads. Dont seem to have discoloured.

Well today I painted Doris’s brake callipers. Now don’t they look good ?

The best thing what happened today was I finally got the V5 for her so now I can tax her so she’s ready for the road :):D?

Well today I painted the brake callipers on the drivers side :)

Now I can’t get the votex jacking cover back on because it’s super loose. I don’t want put it back on loose just in case it falls off when driving (very common problem) Also I don’t want them to fall off too because there all original from the factory what is really rare:)

What do people use to stick them in place ?

Thanks :)

I noticed that the jacking covers had a couple of notches each side like they were supposed to rest on something, but looking on the bodywork kit, there was nothing for them to rest on. So I put a couple of small 3mm screws (mounting screws from a PC are the perfect size) into the bodywork, at the height of the notches on the covers. They rest on the screws and pivot into place, being held by the top of the cover clicking into the kit. This meant they clipped in and were really firm.
I'm pretty sure that the covers I had were 3D printed, so might not be the same as original ones.
The screws have done the job though, they are still in place after quite a few thousand miles.

Thanks for all your suggestions I think I’ll go with the tiger seal approach first as I don’t want to make screw holes in the votex ?:)

Spiders are attracted to the red brakes...? I use clear silicone to "glue" the jacking point covers on to the side skirts. Nice and secure and can be removed easily if needed.

What clear silicone brand did you use ?

Do you have a link ?:)

Hi if you wouldn’t mind could you please send me a link to some what are good and suitable for the job :)

Thanks :)
try 'tool station' if you have one local or B&Q, look in the bathroom section of B&Q for clear silicon, comes in a tube that you put in a gun to force the silicon out

Something like this. Try your local hardware shop. This is a normal tube does not need a gun but you get far less than the cartridges for the guns. Your choice.

Hi buddy would this work ?

Thanks :)
