if there is really that little in it (2 mpg) then the extra cost of the ultimate will make it cheaper to run on supermarket diesel (tesco for me as ESSO fuel)Today I drove back from Newcastle to Cornwall, this time with Supermarket diesel (Sainsbury’s), on the way up it was 75.5mpg with BP Ultimate door to door average of 58mph, I sit at 65mph on motorway and within 110% of the limit everywhere slower. On the way back I got 70.6mpg with a 48mph average, slow along M1 due to heavy rain, then 40min tailback through Bristol and 20mins at Exeter, looking at the DIS before and after showed those 3 lost me 3.2mpg off the average, so like for like the Sainsbury’s fuel would have achieved 73.8mpg. Next week I will do the opposite for a comparison.
Are the struts the correct length? The last ones I bought on 'recommendation' here were short, I might get round to remembering to duck though likely not. ?Today new boot struts fitted and used fuel cap as my rubber strap had snapped, lovely satisfying 5min jobs.
Used these struts came within 2 days:

Yep they were spot on.Are the struts the correct length? The last ones I bought on 'recommendation' here were short, I might get round to remembering to duck though likely not. ?
Sorry, should have asked, do they slow before bump stop as my replacements jolt at the top.Yep they were spot on.
Had a play for 5mins and best I can say is “inconsistent” sometimes they did sometimes they didn’t depending on when I let go, I’m ok with that as my issue was the kids slamming the old ones shut.Sorry, should have asked, do they slow before bump stop as my replacements jolt at the top.
Hi Teresa,Met the lovely George and did a full scan to try and find out what the problem is with his FSI. Hopefully narrowed it down and gave George to link so he can join us on hereView attachment 56246
Today back up to Newcastle from Cornwall. Virtually identical conditions to last week and set off time. 58mph (same as last week) average and got 75.0mpg on Tesco diesel. Last week 75.5 with BP Ultimate, so as far as I can tell it makes no difference to economy at all, will start putting the data in one of the fuel threads.
Yes, I may resurrect my old account on their.I don't know if you know about it, but I use the Fuelly app - see my signature "spoilers" for details. I've found it's great for keeping tabs on mileage and noticing trends.
Just been looking at the bilstein B4 suspension set on e bay £170 the set of 4 ..my question is is it lower than standard ..is it a much firmer ride ..before spending out would like honest opinions ..I don’t want harder ride ..
So same spec as Audi but better quality ?B4 is oem specs and quality.
