There must be another suitable oil dipstick

Here you go
I've had a proper look today, removed the air intake hose was in the way and I've found the 2nd oil tube. It was covered with a soft plastic cap, but isn't blocked off like on later models and checked with the remaining of the original dipstick, there is oil down that tube, so I guess I can use that to check oil level :)

For AUA the polo dip stick works perfect ...just take out the lock where you pump out the oil and install the dip stick instead, 5 minutes

Dipstick: 030115611R (ca. 8€)
Funnel: 030115636A (ca. 2€)

These are Audi prices, aftermarket is much cheaper

Hi, I've looked those part numbers but there's rather a few options and different prices online as well, many says "similar" too. Can you please send a link which is the exact oil dipstick I need, don't want to end up with a wrong size, thanks a lot.

It's all the same because it's build in a lot of models from Audi Skoda Seat VW. They are all identical, you can use any of those, if the number I posted is included.

Hi all, I've received both parts now, funnel and dipstick, both fit a great! What a difference! I can see the level like it should be as the dipstick is a flat metal, not rounded. Only issue is, the level shows like 0.5 inch below minimum..The car shows OK when I start the engine, only when I take a sharp corner bit faster, the flashing red symbol comes up for a few seconds. Should the sensor pick that low level up at start too? I have a very slow coolant leak, which ends on the oil sensor though.
Otherwise it's a recommended mod, if your engine has the second tube, as you can read the accurate oil level at first. Thanks

I ordered these from Autodoc and the funnel did not fit to the oil tube. I had to force it on with a rubber hammer, but it didn't set. Also the dipstick did not fit into the funnel. The oring was too small compared to the opening in the funnel. They didn't even have the same colour.

Now I will go to a Volkswagen dealer and hope they have them in stock.

They don't look the same, neither does really. Just see the post above with the item numbers, both have to match as the measurements have to be very accurate. I bought both from ebay, the funnel is tight but accurate fit, once pops in it doesn't wanna come off again, and the stick has to be the same as the wrong lengths gonna give wrong oil level.

These should fit, you'll only need the orange funnel, not the whole metal tube of the second ad.
