Managed to get the TT out for the first time since the lockdown to get the weekly shopping. Given it was the lockdown the car was gleaming...and whilst I wasn't doing anything wrong at all I did get a moment when 2 police motorcyclists paused and glared at the car before overtaking in the classic "CHiPs" side by side style.

Was great to get the car out again after more than a month sitting in the garage - certainly put a smile on my face :)

I’m sure I heard my car asking this transporter parked at the neighbours to help it escape - hasn’t been more than a mile or so from the house in about six weeks and is now desperate for some adventure!

Not A2 / car related but my son (who is younger than my car) put together this Million Dreams rewrite this week for piano / flute - it has a serious message, but is also a bit silly along the way. Please feel free to delete if not deemed appropriate, but my wife is frontline nhs and she and her colleagues appreciated it. Might brighten someone’s day.

That looks like an Align 450 Simon

I’ve got a couple of those, been flying model he is for years got to inverted flight but could never master the smack 3D side of flying. Was always very harsh on the mechanics to my mind I’m more of a super smooth flying style
I’ve got a few mcpx helis that you could hover in the A2 with rear seats folded flat

Cheers. Paul

Strangely enough that idea was also bouncing around in my head. Think the glow fleet will stay in mothballs, that leaves my electrics, my 2 Hirobo XRBs, 2 Align T-Rex 450s, Hubsan X4 drone, 4 DJI Phantom 2s or 2 DJI Mavic pros... total fleet 36

Hi Paul,
It's a Gaui 200 so a bit smaller than your Align. It's fully 3D capable but like you I've never made that step and prefer to just fly about normally. I've also got a Walkera V01DS02 for flying round the house, the Gaui has never been crashed but the D02 has withstood a huge amount of abuse but never seems to break!

Simon.

That's sounding like an addiction Audifan!

Maybe we should extend the thread to show pictures of hobbies :)

Been around r/c most of my life and tried almost everything, cars , boats, yachts, tanks, planes and helicopters / quads.

Ha yes I remember the Gaui’s
I always thought they where better made than the align models but the spares where a night mare at one point in time and with helis that’s a big issue
A guy at my old club had a Gaui 200 but he could hardly hover so he used to get me to fly it for him but he liked to see it put through its paces
It started with hovering then into circuits loops roles inverted. I shat myself as it’s ok for me to splat my own models in the ground but not someone else’s. Luckily it never happened so all was well
Flying the mcpx in the house keeps the reactions sharp

So light they don’t break much if you get the power off before impact

I mainly fly fixed wing these days. The think the flying fleet is upwards of 40 A/C not counting the indoor fleet

Yes lovely scene Murdo .I always thought one day i would end up living near the sea ..happy memories of my grandparents living in carbis bay st ives Cornwall spent my summer holidays down there .. but so many people with second homes have now probably made that unrealistic prices are unreal ..
I was told several years ago in winter you can count the lights on in st ives two thirds are 2 nd homes and lay empty..?..

Papers are full of puzzles etc during the lock down. Here's one for the A2OC. Found this item in the drivers footwell:

Mystery object 2.jpg

What is it?

Clue 1: the main body is 16mm long.

Clue 2: it seems to be plastic and is very light grey, almost silver in colour.

Edit: I've no idea what it is. Car still goes OK so can't be critical ;)
