So close to half way there in such a short time is incredible. You will have read that these will be available in the Shop in due course but I cannot guarantee how many actually make it into the shop. Don't wait, show your interest now and reserve you bespoke footrest.

Not wanting to put a deadline on this but I do want one fitted as soon as possible. Therefore I will wait until the end of the month to place the order, that way most of us should have been paid which gives everyone the opportunity to register or show further interest.

Soon as there are pictures of everyones footrest fitted on the 'Today I....' thread, I think these will sell out from the shop quickly, reserve yours soonest to avoid having to wait for a potential second batch to be ordered.

Kind regards,

Tom

I'm loving all the enthusiasm here and gratitude to Tom @2work for putting in the graft to make this happen.

Its crossed my mind that fitting this tasteful wee upgrade will be complemented by fitting the TT style metal pedal covers that many members have fitted to their A2s. It's been covered a few times however does anyone have a link /recommended seller for these items?

Great work Tom. ?????

Good morning to you all,

Continuing to breach the half way mark here. Thank you very much for your interest and support.

Here's the list as it stands early on day 4 of this starting:

Hopefully I have an updated quote for you all this evening regards changing th material from aluminium to stainless steel.

In the background Paul @depronman is adjusting the overall dimensions so the footrest is wider and also reaches down to the carpet. He is is adding a triangular shape to the very top of the 'A' so it looks in keeping with the 'A2' on the rear of our cars.

The updated pictures will be with you soon as possible. In the mean time please do keep adding your interest to this thread and ill update the list.

Im quite certain that these could sell out by the end of the month.

Also in the background I am looking for a decent but cheap material to use in a jiffy bag to ensure the footrests are not bent or damages during transit. I was originally thinking of a piece of pallet wood as I have a few in the garage. I know a sheet of 6mm plywood would be perfect but they're around £40, I would be happy to cut it down to size etcetera. This may seem like an expensive packaging material but divided by 115 items should make it disappear, it will also make each package lighter and able to fit through your letter box which will be a lot cheaper to send than originally mentioned earlier in the thread.

I'm happy to hear what other think regards what cheap materials could be used to keep the cost down but at the same time keeping each footrest safe on its journey to our A2.

Kind regards,

Tom

Great work Tom. ?????

Morning Murdo,

If you're quick there is a cheap OEM used set here. I know some members have fitted the aftermarket items which are very cheap I believe.

Can anyone reading this share their thoughts on the AliExpress items for their quality and also a link.

Thank you so much for the kind words, it mens a lot. I'm glad its been this well received by the Admin Team and I thank you all for being ready to jump in and assist to get us to the 115 figure. Im sure they won't be in the shop for long though.

As much as I will Murdo, I shouldn't really take too much credit for doing this. Much like the number plate surrounds a few years ago, I have simply stolen/copied (you decide) someone else's idea and taken it to the next level. Paul has been a massive help also with various suggestions and considerations but the praise must go to all the members of this great community who have shown interest, without this amazing interest this would just be another idea which gets parked.

Thanks again for the support from the Admin Team.

Kind regards,

Tom
