Hi there. If any one has any information on swapping over manifolds on the 1.4 to the polo gti manifold could the get intouch with me please. Ive got it up the ramp at the moment and the wiribg harnesses are different.

I thought it was plug and play but appears the injector plugs are different. Any advice or help please do get in touch.

Thanks so much. Alan.

I'm gathering parts and information to do this, having already discovered it's not a straight forward swap. I was under the impression that you'd be using your original injectors and wiring.
May be best to list (better still with photos) which part numbers you have. @beady73 is further down this road and may be able to assist.

I’ve got a polo gti inlet manifold. A renault megane throttle body and a polo gti exhaust manifold.

Ive spoken to someone who did it ages ago and aparently he used the original inlet manifold and didnt get use the polo inlet.

The megane TB i have runs like a pig so i am on the hunt for the polo gti TB to try that instead. Otherwise im back to square one and drawing board.

You’d need the ecu mapped to go with this surely?

Hello,
I bought these parts ages ago
Kit

The inlet was hard to plumb in to the Egr, fuel pressure reg and brake vaccum body.
Otherwise every part fits onto the car.
I could not get the car to run without MAP sensor code, implausible signal intermittent.

The car ran rich.

The standard fuel rail and injectors fitted the inlet.

I guess there was a vac leak. When modding the inlet the Egr pipe must be air tight, don't think this was achieved.

Putting the old inlet back in.

All the best

Andy

Apparently the increased airflow of the inlet manifold and Megane TB with the original injectors are all that's required for a power increase. Exhaust manifold helps further. Remap not required for above.
Thread here.

I have just realised ive been speaking to @A2Steve about this project after reading that post ages ago!

The jnlet manifold had some slight differences and was not a straight swap with regards to the wiring.

The throttle body i had from a megane ran like a pig so tried to use a polo gti one but that was knackered to.

Back to the drawing board im afraid for this project .

Have you tried re-calibrating the throttle body with VCDS? You have to do this even with a clean of the throttle body on the AUA nevermind changing to a much larger unit.

I would imagine it will run very rough if at all without this being done as the ecu has no parameters for the new throttle body.

need to you the inlet from AUB 100bhp engine with connecting pipe to and from the EGR and the EGR from the same engine too.

yes mine is still working.

you can see it in the Pic
