I assume as weight saving. The wheel arches look less protruding to me as well. I must read up the 1.2Yep, finned alloy drums.

Yep, loads of differences. Especially around the suspension but also as you’ve noticed, the wings are much ‘smoother’ and it has a larger spoiler as well. That’s before you start on the auto transmission, free wheeling in eco mode and stop start function!I assume as weight saving. The wheel arches look less protruding to me as well. Can they be fitted to 1.4 tdi, I wonder ?Yep, finned alloy drums.
I very much doubt it. But even if you could, finding a pair wouldn’t be easy. Can they be fitted to 1.4 tdi, I wonder ?

@NeilB that's sound advice. I see you haven't upgraded your account to get Market access yet. Details are in the Welcome email you received when your registration was approved. There are some lovely ones at the moment, but even if there weren't, what you will almost always get from a seller in this club is honesty.Have you looked at the market place on here?

Oxted? I lived there for many years !Drove 200 miles from Devon to Oxted for work - which is the kind of trip I bought the car for originally by the way.
I now know that after applying a 12% correction that CDIS is pretty accurate with the MPG readings; Audrey did it at 69.5mpg which was mostly cruising at 60-70mph depending on the terrain.
Stopped for a break at the 2h mark at Fleet services and parked next to this - the owner (whose sideburns were a thing of wonder, predictably enough) was a bit of a grumpy sod for a classic car owner - but then I assume he’s just filled up and calculated that his car probably isn’t quite as economical

During the journey I saw a total of 3 other A2s, the most I’ve ever spotted in one hit. One of these was on Belgian plates and had two bikes on the back and a roof box on - it looked almost like it was trying to hide!!
Does anyone else wave and flash their lights at another A2 driver? I always do and 90% of the time I get nothing back or slightly odd looks!!!
I wasn't born there but lived in Limpsfield for many years - whereabouts in Oxted? maybe send me a PM ?Well I never, I was born in Oxted, small world!
Shower Time...should have just gone for a bike ride! Instead I jacked the front, cleaned yet more oil off everything, cried, took intake pipes off up to egr, put new seals in, then fixed the turbo clip and finally refitted wheel archliners. Then replaced diversity unit in boot. Had no choice but to do it today in 30deg. Gross.
