TT 1.8t 225bhp engine into my A2

Been a slow couple of months on the car because of family and work commitments.

But in the last to weeks I have started up again on it .

Have fitted bigger front brakes to the car .
Uprated from the 288mm fabia units to 312mm Audi TT performance discs and EBC racing pads .
TT 16x7j Comp Alloys with 215/40/16 tyres all round.

Sourced a different slave cylinder but the original unit was failing the gear cables.
The unit I fitted is from a Skoda Octavia VRS mk1, bleed nipple is to the side not on top .

Fitted the remote oil cooler to with sandwich plate.

After looking at a lot of different size VAG radiators, I have decided to use Alloy radiator.

This unit is more than capable for this application. It’s designed for a straight 6 drift car.

Going to make some mounts at the weekend

Been slow work on the car for month or so because of work commitments.

But have made some progress.

Have fitted the radiator and made custom mounts to hold it .

Have to fit the coolant bottle from the TT and fit on the other side of the engine bay

Run new fuel lines to and from the rail .

Spent a couple of weeks on the wiring and now working on fitting the complete TT dashboard and centre console.

Not sure want I an going to need to do this, so have taken everything from a donor car including a complete car loom with fuse board.

Really amazing project this that I'm sure like many others I'm looking forward to seeing up and running.

Also really like the 'ATT2' name suggested by @Sylvester above but failing that 'Frankenstein' could be another 😂

You obviously know what you're doing so probably don't need it but all the very best anyway 👍

I do hope you are able to bring this to a social event! It will be quite an attraction.
Interesting thread to follow and full of admiration for the ingenuity and dedication to doing it right.
Good luck with completing, don’t loose your enthusiasm before the job is done.

Geoff

So today I have removed to Audi A2 dashboard and offered up the TT dashboard

Will no cutting and just sitting in place. It doesn’t look to bad .

Centre console needs lifting about an inch and dash needs to drop down about a inch too .

Hello Brett,

This is going to be fantastic. Really looking to see this once completed Sir.

Kind regards.

Tom

This is going to be fantastic.
I wholeheartedly agree with @2work ! This is going to be a masterpiece of engineering and the ingenuity of Man (can I say that now?), with sheer grit, determination and a 'can do' attitude. Me likey.

Really excited to see the end result - wish I had the time, space and resources to consider something like this. The next trick surely has to be to make it 4 wheel drive so it can handle all that unbridled power 🤣 :p

4WD will add about 150kg to the weight of the car,

In my opinion not needs unless your looking for 400bhp plus .

Plan is to run this car with about 260bhp to start with, then see what happens.

Yee ha! I admire your cojones...!! I'm not one for adding unnecessary weight, just thought 4WD would be the icing on the cake... I agree though, suck it and see! Sure it'll be a lot of fun whatever.
