So, I was reading a post and I could see that RZX has had 7 A2s since 2016😳
How many A2s have you had and if you could only have 1 of the collection what would it be and why?
 
I currently have numbers 1 and 4 of 4 (see my signature). If I had to pick just one to keep, it would still be number 1: having been considerably fettled and upgraded, it now just carries on doing what I require of it on a daily basis perfectly and without requiring very much of me at all in return, yet it still always puts a smile on my face.

Only 7 Mandy @RZX ? I thought you’d be at double digits! 😉

Edit- thought as much. Won’t be long till it’s 10!

I’m at 6 and counting since my initial purchase in the autumn of 2019.

Three of them I only had very briefly and all purchased because they had bits on I wanted and then sold on.

The Dolphin Grey TDI was my 1st- sold to my best mate for his son to learn to drive in and has only done 2k in the 20 months since. He did pass his test 1st time though!

I’ve still got Tonka, my crystal blue TDI and L’y my Silver 1.2 tdi. I love both of them and couldn’t begin to choose one over tother because they do such different jobs and have totally diverse characters.
 
Evening all,

I’m currently using purchase numbers 3 and 8 out of 8 since first ownership in 2015.

1. Ebony Black AUA - reached end of life
2. Ebony Black BAD - sold
3. Azure Blue AMF (OEM) - keeper
4. Dolphin Grey BHC (250) - sold
5. Dolphin Grey AMF - reached end of life
6. Merlot Red BAD - sold
7. Pine Green AUA - sold
8. Jaipur Red AMF (EUD) - keeper

I’ve been told that 2x A2s on the driveway is enough, no more projects for now.

As for which one I would choose over them all is difficult, Project OEM is such a fantastic car which has had absolutely everything thing thrown at it - and some, as did Project 250 whilst seeing what was possible on an extremely tight budget; only upgraded as and when reasonably priced items presented themselves. I’ve learnt so much from the Clubs pages and this fine community during owning these 2 aforementioned Project A2s that my latest commuter will benefit plentiful. Therefore with this new found knowledge the A2 which I would choose has to be my latest commuter, the Jaipur Red AMF Project EUD, such an understated colour. The reason why is mainly down to how it’s turning out and where I believe it can get to can get to; all from the support, helpful information and experience gained from our glorious membership.

I've had 4 in ten years and it's hard to say which one was/is the best. It's an amalgamation of two of them which would be my perfect A2. A pine green tdi ATL with twist leather would be nice but there were only 5 green 90,s registered in the UK. I've only ever seen one of them come up for sale and wonder where the others are 😋

Funny, I was trying to recall mine last week and got this list which I think, is all of them since sept 2017

A2 list

Hmm, I may have to dig back through my old files as I was a manager at Audi UK so responsible for probably importing about half of the A2s that were ever sold in the UK. One of the management perks was having access to the Audi range as a company car. My colleagues generally chose A4s, A6s and thought that I was a bit odd in always picking an A2 as my company car. Back then of course cars were a status symbol and size mattered! Having seen them being built in the factory in Germany I admired A2s as much as the aluminium flagship A8s, but being financially astute I preferred A2s as the company car tax was lower than any other Audi. We kept our company cars for around 3 months or up to 6000 miles from new. So I had from new over a dozen A2s, switching to a VW Touran when A2s ceased. Now keeping hold of just one A2 for nostalgia into retirement! When I get time I will find my old company car expense sheets in the attic as it will be interesting to me to see how many A2 registration plates are still taxed, though I expect some will have been exchanged for private plates. Funnily enough, a couple of months ago my near side pax window was down in middle of night and a ridiculous low sounding alarm was going off. Bought five round steering wheel locks @ £180 each from Halfords the following day. Do not know if the A2 was the target or my VW van.😳

I've had 3 currently have a 90 sport on 97k and a x reg 1.4 on 88k, I did have a 75 in pine but wasn't a big fan on the twist dashboard. It was on 177k but drove very nicely, its since been sold to a friend as a first car after some love from wom to get it mint!
 
Two but this year I downsized to one. Although my original long-term keeper (now 13 years) was just resurected from a watery grave, so does that count as another? ;)
