Most likely. But when is your insurance due for renewal? Were those last year's figures?
I just went to

Some insurance companies will go down to individual post codes and will probably look at vehicle crime as well as vehicle accident rates. Also I suspect at thing like owner occupied. Our estate is a mix of 2 to 4 bedroom modern houses (207 years old). Over the years the 2 bedroom ones seem to be bought by buy to let and it tends to show (eg more tatty looking gardens).
I got a call from Adrian Flux who I was insured with about 5 years ago (begs the question how long they should keep my data). They quoted £500 cf my LV= renewal of £340! I also went to LV= website as a new customer and was quoted £335.
I've seen a couple of reports in the media that motor insurance has risen by an average of 56% this year (Feb or Mar fig). I wouldn't be surprised if the old boy insurance network sends the word round that 50% + is the new norm.
