01435 g201 Implausible signal and brake light warning

Hi,

My A2 1.4 TDI had the Braking System Warning Symbol appear a few times, maybe every 1 in 5 times i drive it.

I also started getting the Brake Light Warning symbol on the dash too.

After scanning the car with my Autel it shows 01435 g201 Implausible signal

Rosstech tells me this is either the Brake Pedal Switch or Brake Pressure Sensor in the ABS - Im hoping its the former, as this is an easy fix and i have just ordered one for £10.

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php...Brake Light Switch, system works as per design.

While I was investigating all of this i noticed I never see any ABS or ESP lights on the dash behind the dials. Even on ignition.

On ignition, i get the Battery, Handbrake, Glow Plugs and immobiliser light - but no ESP, ABS or CEL.

I am wondering if its had these lights coded out or removed? is this possible?

I checked the ABS 60A fuse under the passenger footwell and it looks fine. The ESP fuse under the dash is also fine. ABS is also working when i brake. There is no traction control that i can tell, wheels spin freely in the wet.

Also the ASR button doesn't seem to do anything - nothing changes on the instrument cluster.

Any ideas whats going on?

New brake switch fitted and codes cleared... seems to have fixed the issues.

Been a few days and fingers crossed it doesn't come back as the abs sensor could be expensive.

I'm guessing no one had any idea why I have no abs or ESP or cel lights on the instrument cluster? Can the bulbs be removed?

The dash lights are leds. i'd think they could be replaced, if you're ok with de-soldering, removal etc.
Mac.
