[1.2 TDI] - ANY - Engine rebuild

This means that the 1J0 might be...somehow usable?

So the SSP is wrong?

The SSP doesn't make a distinction between A2 and Lupo, so why are the part numbers different between models that use the same engine?

RAB
True, can it be that Lupo has some other way of limiting this? maybe some other valve somewhere else?
It makes no sense to say specifically that for 1.2 it opens at 60 degrees and than this valve 1J works for audi 80 too (maybe a marketing scheme?)...

As far as I can see, the Lupo 3L and A2 1.2Tdi fuel systems are pretty much identical. You'll have to ask VW, if anyone there knows now!

RAB

Just to complicate things, there seems to be possibly four versions of the valve! According to 7zap:

Audi A2
Lupo
AMF
057 127 247 E
1J0 127 247 A
ANY/AYZ
057 127 247 E
1J0 127 247 H

The Lupo used the early A2 fuel filter throughout its production run (and it's very easy to change, unlike the A2's).

RAB
Just bought the 1J0 for testing.
1) the diameter is not good for the filter
2) it does not block flow not even for cold water(it does not do what it should - block flow to the tank until it reaches 60 C)...so i guess this works on lupo as a replacement BUT it does not help with temp regulation:).

So the only alternative remains 057 127 247 A - it fits but it does not close flow correctly.
