1.4 petrol AUA...I retract my statement

Nice looking car. Would be up for £2500 if it was a TDI.
Regarding VED and ULEZ charges yes Government policy is all over the place. The VED on old petrol cars like this is basically designed to keep the great majority of the population focussed on buying new cars with cheap finance and so keeping the motor and finance industries fed with demand!!

I was surprised to find this on ebay at such a low price.

Dropping the first cat would quite probably get things flowing a bit better, but I'm unsure on petrol's how negatively it would affect the emissions test.
Now this would look fine with a Turbo on the outlet?

... I've been driving mine again for the last week or so and the cornering speeds are immense. I changed the oil last weekend, now I can take it for a real run... will do that with some injector cleaner and get things nice and warm. It's fun on the twisty stuff.

Has anyone tried this? I’d be interested to know if there’s a tangible difference. Having driven one for a month in January I can only echo the praise for the AUA, I’m quite tempted to swap from a TDI if I can find one with the right spec and price.
Had a similar unit in my Superb. It increases throttle response. You dont get more power from the engine. I used ot with a tuning box and was awesome. 240hp and mountains of torque!
