Please for the love of god can someone point me to where I can buy one. I have so far ordered 3 all are different, one top rad pipe comes out straight and blokes the way, another temp sensor is contently different, another there is no top over flow to coolant reservoir...
please help!

Hi Adam, I bought the Topran (110 350) from Autodoc and replaced the thermostat and lid that came with it for genuine Audi parts from a Skoda dealership ... the BBY uses the black plastic thermostat, the Topran came with the old style metal thermostat but the housing is universal to both as long as you use the corresponding lid to suit ... link to my original reply is linked to the post
below.

Thanks for you replay.
sounds like you are just referring to the thermostat and and retaining cap.

I need the entire housing that fixes on top the the engine block

Hi Adam ... the Topran 110350 is the complete housing that bolts onto the side of the engine block ... mine came with the wrong thermostat for the BBY and these were replaced with genuine thermostat and matching cover ... purchased separately from a Skoda dealer ... I probably could have run with the thermostat that came with the housing but chose to go with the original spec for my car.
Like I said, the Topran housing is universal to both types of thermostat as long as you pair it with the correct cover/ lid.

Ok cheers and to specify that has the extra over flow to coolant reservoir attachment all the picture I can see of that item number show it without.

The red part here is blanked off. I need that to be not blanked off. This is where the coolant over flow attaches

Hi Adam, I can confirm that my car has a BBY engine and all the pipework went back on to the Topran 110 350 as it came off the original.
It hasn't leaked or missed a beat this last 7000 miles.
It costs about £35 with the Autodoc App or £65 from Amazon.

Hi again Adam, hope you get sorted with the housing, some info below that may help:

Picture 1 is looking inside the opening of the Topran 110350 ... the 87° black plastic thermostat on the BBY plugs into this fitting inside the housing but is redundant if using the 83° metal thermostat which simply sits in the opening and held in place by its corresponding cover.

Picture 4 is the 83° metal thermostat supplied with the Topran 110350:

Hope this helps Adam or anyone else considering doing it themselves ... straight forward enough but buy a set of replacement bolts to refit to the engine block, I managed to round off the hex fitting on the bottom awkward one.

Hi Adam, the supplied one opens at 83° and was unbranded, I don't know if it works or even makes any difference to engine performance but I opted to swap with a new genuine 87° as this kept it to original spec ... for the extra cost and peace of mind it was worth it 🤓
