Hi guys hope you can help me with my project just picked up a blue 90bhp red i managed to drive back as gears and clutch was playing up and and fob wasn't working properly as wouldn't open intermittently and alarm kept going off when stopped at service station it didn't start back up then did not sure if Immobiliser kicking in.
Got back to my house and didn't lock with key alarm kept going of took connection off battery left over night .
Now started car pressed unlock on fob now c- locking working 🤔
Could this be a main car battery issue?

The main reason bought this car as I already have a tdi 90bhp and was hoping to transfer parts on to new one I got regarding clutch and gearbox etc

Could well be a low battery. In both fob and the car.
See how you get on. In mean time give code of your cccu unit under passenger floor.
Have you a spare key? Does this work?
Do you have vcds for a scan of codes and errors?
Do interior lights come on with each door opening?
Is the service flap alarm buttons present and in good condition?

All this will help paint a picture for everyone to help.

Hi its being very temperamental, since this morning I put battery connection back on and fob seems to work central locking I just move car up drive locked car with fob but now alarm keeps going off after its locked if you know what I should check?

Take a look at the flap at the front, there's a rubber button that's the alarm switch for the grill. Open the flap and try pressing it in with something to keep it in. Then lock and see if it's that switch.

Also

Do the interior lights come on when you open each door, try each one....

Sorry where is this flap , Is it outside bonnet you are referring to ?
And yes the lights come on when door opens

Yes the service grill in thee bonnet.
Try each door one at a time. Hopefully all four dors and boot too will illuminate the interior light, one at a time to see if any of the doors switches are working or not. Then you can tell if car is confused or not about the state of a door, open or closed. Try grill as that's common.
