Nice job, did you steam clean it first? I need to get round to doing mine one day, I don't think its been cleaned since it left the factory sadly...its the only bit that lets my car down!!!!

Hello, nope all i did was use scotch brite and it came up a treat. But i had to wipe down all the dust afterwards.

How did you do the metal parts (aluminium)?

Years ago you could get an engine lacquer that left a gloss finish and stopped water ingress into electrical areas, I haven't been able to find any recently, which is strange because I used to sell it by the gallon when I was a motor factor rep!!!!
