1.6 FSI Sport rear spring corrosion noted during service

As per title they noted the coating on the rear springs has worn and there is some minor corrosion. . . Should I worry?

Anyone have the spring part number and how much?
Any other parts worth replacing whilst I am at it?
Use Audi parts or another?

also minor weepage on one rear shock but not major

any advice?

I usually scrape off any flaky rust and give the springs a coating of Waxoyl every year - just before the MOT.

There are several spring variations so check the paint dot colour code on the spring and post it on here. We can tell the part number from the colours,

Hydraulic oil weeping from the shocks is a MOT fail so consider replacing both.

If you had considered a suspension upgrade, either std ride height with better shocks or lowered etc, now is the time to decide

Cheers Spike

As I understand the sport has shorter shocks and springs or is this an incorrect assumption?

I think I will just order two shock, two springs and some bump stops from audit and get the whole job done in one gone later in the year

the rear suspension is simple enough on other cars so I assume it is the same principle here?. . . Or is it a ball breaker on the a2

is audit the only place I can get the parts from?

Thanks for the input
