1.6Fsi fuel pressure sensor

I've purchased a bosch fuel pressure sensor as I have a P0192 fuel rail pressure sensor circuit low input fault. The car is hesitant to start at times where it will rev out and then just drop to zero and stall. I need to catch the revs with the throttle and it will start. I've asked my garage to fit it and supplied a workshop diagram showing the sensor on the inlet manifold on the back of the engine by the death pipe. Problem being, he says he can't see it. I thought he may have been able to fit it from underneath the engine looking up from the back. He says he can see the death pipe but not the sensor. From my reckoning, from the back looking up it should be slightly off centre centre to the left. Or has the inlet manifold got to come off to fit it. Thanks Tony

Hi, can you post the part number please or the picture because for the life of me I cannot recall which one it is.

OK, I cannot think of any other way to replace it other than removing the intake manifold. It lives in the space between the fuel rail and the manifold. I've taken it apart only very recently and could not remember which sensor you were talking about. I had to look it up on the diagrams.

Albeit being from a different model, it is shown clearly below so you can get the gist of it:

It is a right PITA to change the sensor as it is located in the flap intake manifold section. Main intake manifold off job I’m afraid.
