1.6FSI P0134/P0139 Codes - Lambda Sensor

I have the above codes on my FSI, car runs relatively OK but is under powered below 3750rpm, then it kicks in like it has a turbo... Economy is down from what people seem to achieve averaging around 38 no matter what type of driving I am doing

Those of you with FSI experience, I would assume best place to start is replacing this sesnor. It seems quite a pricey part so keen to make sure I start in the right place!

TIA

mine will do it occasionally, i can tell with the average petrol reading on the dis. there are no fault codes. i think i drive it to steady to look after it,
i found by taking it for a good hard run (good and hot) it seems to go back to normal.
probably clears the cats out.

Ours averages mid 40s, on DIS, and on a fill to fill spreadsheet. Bit more, upper 40s, lower 50s on long run.
Not much doubt that the lambda sensor is duff, but check the wiring and connector to be on the safe side.
Mac.

The fault clears with VCDS but returns again after a few days, the driving experience is the same with or without the EML...

Thanks, will take a look at the connector etc at the weekend, otherwise looks like investing in a new sensor is probably needed
