Hi Ade,
I know Audi recommend every 4 yrs on the petrol model irrespective of mileage, I believe upto that point it should be inspected by your Service person, Skipton will I am sure be a long a little later to confirm

Cheers

Hi,

Have a read through this thread:

http://www.a2oc.net/forum/showthread.php?t=6028&highlight=cambelt&page=4

Current recommendation for the 1.6 is to check it at 56K miles, and definitely change after 5 years. However, the cost to check it is nearly as much as getting it changed - so it's cost effective to get it done at 56K.

I had my 1.6 cambelt changed at 57K.

Ben

PS - that 50mpg is about right if the car is driven gently on motorways.

Cambelt fsi

Hi Audilovers! I have a 03 fsi that has reached 120000km and it should be time for "big service" according to the book! Now thats a rather expensive story here in Stockholm, about 1600 euro or 15000 swedish kronor at the local Audi Dealer!!
I was thinking of bringing it to Germany on a short vaccation and get it done there, maybe the same amont but a nice trip included and perhaps better made! Maybe i can bring it to England and get it "mapped" too as mention in an other therad....
Greatings from Sweden
and have a look at my website. www.motorsport4sale.com if you like rallying
