Hello all
I haven’t posted for absolutely ages on this excellent forum but as it is our A2 first registration birthday today on the 28th of September 2004 I thought I’d drop in a post.
We bought our A2 SE 90 in December 2005 and still love the car as much today as when we bought it.
Back in 2005 we paid £10,000 and what a fantastic investment for such an economical and reliable vehicle.
This month, I gave her a full service in preparation for the MOT, everything is in tiptop shape and passed the MOT with no advisories and just a compliment from the technician that did the inspection.
With only 58,000 miles on the clock, she still looks as good as new, with the added benefit of a fully working open sky sunroof
I still find it really interesting how rare the A2 is on the road these days. Our other car is a Land Rover and where we may see 20 or 30 of those on a journey we rarely see another A2.
Every time I work on the car, I just love all the thought and engineering that went into the original design. I did the front brakes recently that have never been changed and every nut and bolt came and done perfectly. I think the one thing that took the most time was releasing the clip on the brake pad sensor
Here about a few pictures of our car, keep up the excellent work on this forum. It really is an interesting mine of information.
So here’s to the next 20 years
