It's a convincing endorsement for the original style of design, that's for sure. I must get hold of the supplier and place the order!

For the original 20th Anniversary stickers, I think we may only have had 50 in total to start with (split between external and internal), but we re-ordered several times, whenever we ran short. I'd be inclined to go for 100 this time round, maybe split 60:40.

Get it done! Ill have a few

Probably prefer 2 internal for me please, although 5 years on the external are still well, maybe down to bucket and sponge washing only.

I'm not really one for badges and stickers etc as I feel they generally cheapen the look of things but I must say I think that looks splendid and in that location too!

My personal opinion would be for the 25 year anniversary badge to be identical to this 20 year one as I feel the other one with the dates looks too fussy and too much where as this one looks sleek, elegant and classy.

I don't know if it is in white or silver but I would suggest the lightest aluminium silver colour to denote the aluminium construction which is a major factor of what makes the cars so special and in fact I would then go so far as committing to purchasing two internal fitting one's 👍

Edit- having just read @Jellybean 's earlier post, the Aluminium Silver would also suit the Silver 25th anniversary perfectly too so win, win 😊

Given the proposed new sticker has the dates 2000-2025 (whereas the original did not) then will the overall size of the sticker be increased (taller) or will it be the same size with the text and A2 silhouette being smaller? A larger one may impact where it can be placed (I think some have put theirs in the quarter lights).

The proposed new design will be taller, but thinner. It was originally larger than it would actually be produced. It was taller by the full height of the added line of lettering, but the same width. It was then shrunk to reduce the extra height over the original, so that took the width down slightly.

On the internal version, with the extra height it is still going to fit, but now only just, in the lower screen of the rear hatch. However it doesn't fit between the outermost radio aerial wires any more.

The better place to display these ones to the best advantage of the wonderful design, has always been in the rear quarter windows. Here, the slightly different shape of the design will present no problem. Similarly with the external version's usual placement in the lower screen corners, there's still plenty of room :)

Further to my previous post above, there is another update :)

The designer of these stickers, @TYP 8Z, took on board the issues with the changed sizing and, on reflection, felt that the extra line showing the 2000-2025 dates was too heavy and detracted from the clean outline shape. We have therefore decided to revert to the simplest update of his much-loved design, which replaces '20th' with '25th'.

The 25th Anniversary stickers will therefore be exactly the same size as the 20th Anniversary stickers, so they will continue to fit perfectly between the outermost aerial wires in the lower rear screen in the internal application. They will also continue to be produced in white, which shows them off to their best advantage against (or through) the dark rear screen, or in the rear quarter windows.

What are the next steps for these stickers please?
The new stickers have been ordered and will hopefully arrive in the next couple of weeks. They will then be made available in the A2OC Shop. I'll announce on this thread once they are ready and available to buy. Thank you everyone for bearing with us, and I hope this lovely design will continue to grace our A2's for at least another 5 years :)

Amazing @FinallyFiona and thank you!

Great news @FinallyFiona and thank you to you and @TYP 8Z Have you any hints as to how to remove the old stickers?
Hi again Alan,

When I recently removed 20th anniversary sticker, I simply warmed it up with a hairdryer. Couple of minutes later and it was removed, I did give the area a wipe over with some alcohol afterwards to ensure no sticky residue remained.

Kind regards,

Tom

If I keep eating well, exercise and service my A2 diligently every year I might still have a chance to design the 50th Anniversary sticker 😅
