Think it's for a 1.2 tdi so maybe a reverse angle somewhere (lhd rhd). Plus it may be weaker damped but doubt that really.
I'm sure the difference in part numbers isn't without good reason sadly
Have you changed all the other engine and gearbox mounts?
If you change all the others, you might find that the engine movement is well controlled enough for the 8Z0199212J not to need changing.
You might find that the other engine and gearbox mounts do most of the work because the 8Z0199212J is only a top engine mount, so the others are probably more significant when it comes to controlling the engine movement because they will be supporting the weight of the engine and gearbox...unlike this top mount.
Ive picked up a set of used mounts yesterday 8Z0199212J & 8Z0199543A (Engine and Gearbox mount) from a BHC car.
Changed dogbone for new Febi 31113 unit and put in the a used 8Z0199543A and the dynamics of the car have changed everything feels tighter and more precise.
Both used parts will now be used to "shed engineer" some new parts to fit.
Rather than pay 242 euro for 8Z0199543A I followed a chap from German a2 forum and decided to make a new one from the old one
Bought new mount from autodoc for £22 and cut it in half. Bashed out the old mount and cleaned the aluminium and with a bit of grease and gentle tapping with rubber mallet managed to make my own
