Don't mean to be negative and all the rest sounds great, just trying to help and hope it's perceived the way it's meant ?
 
Gumtree seem to think that this is advertising a service, and remove it when I post it in their Motors Wanted category. :(o_O:confused: I have a support case open with them to discuss.

Hi Ian,

Well done with the work you have put into this and let's hope it reaps some reward.

I wonder in the heading if it contained more specific detail it would be caught by more search engines. To include all models, I was thinking start with 'Audi A2 TDI75/90, 1.4 , 1.6 FSI........'. I realise this may make the header too long/ungainly.

Just a thought.

With GDPR I believe we have to make it clear that we would be passing on contact details etc. (sad, but that's the times we live in). The rest of the paragraph is all positives though - perhaps they would do better as separate bullet points in a similar style to the other paragraphs?

I am a member of A2OC and I am looking for Audi A2s that are beyond economic repair to help keep enthusiast club members' cars on the road.

As you are not a business you don’t need to consider GDPR as a private individual it’s not relevant

I finally heard back from Gumtree about the original advert I posted, they're now fine with us not being a business and reinstated it for me in Motors Wanted. I understand from Steve that some good has already come of it :) However I did just update it to have the new agreed text (version #4 above) and my own contact details rather than Steve's.

Dave, I would suggest that you post another ad using the latest version text. If they remove it, refer them to my support case which is their ref _00D206AK6._5004J4Q20K for my advert, which is their ref 1358378999. Let them know that you're another member of A2OC and hopefully all will be well.

Latest is that my edited ad (now text #4) has been pulled, and suggested AGAIN to be reposted in Services :rolleyes:??

The Dolphin TDi I've just redeployed netted me a grand total of minus £434... I reckon the hours have been about 20 or so answering numpties on the phone/gumtree messaging etc, and blocking ambulance chasers ...
 
Sorry my parts supply has been so quiet lately. I haven’t defected to MG’s ? I’ve currently got 2 high spec low mileage A2’s that I’m working on to bring back to a level I’m happy with before sale. This is taking up a lot of my spare time.

I’m still selling lots of parts, but they have been sold via pm upon request from members, rather than me advertising via the marketplace.

Hopefully things will be back to normal once I’ve got the current projects up to spec.
