A pump is starting when open door, not any more

I've been in rural SW France for the last few weeks!

If your car will start without the hydraulic pump starting, that means that the system is keeping pressure. You only have to worry when the pump won't start and neither will the engine! Opening the driver's door should otherwise start the hydraulic pump to minimise any delay in starting.

You might also check the condition of the accumulator by seeing how many gear changes you can make after the pump stops with the ignition on, engine not running and in Tiptronic mode. If less than three, try a new accumulator. To change the accumulator, disconnect the hydraulic control unit electrically and with a 24mm spanner, loosen the accumulator half a turn to release the pressure. Change the accumulator and reconnect electrically. Accumulators lose nitrogen over time.

If you don't know when a basic setting (GGE) was last done, it would be wise to get one done. Instructions here: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/5-Speed_Electronic_Manual_Transmission_(085)

Follow to the letter. Should be done every 30k km. Sooner won't hurt.

Hi,

a few weeks ago my car stopped due to fault on gearbox (automatic). It started to jump and slow down, and stopped in the end. I colud not start it and i could not tow it, it was in gear.

Today I got a reading from the cars system end i got following codes
00263: Automatic gear box
01073: system pressure clutch
01155: RPM deviation to big

Ref first message in this tread, the cars gear oil pump did a few strange things.

Hi @RAB, i did see your message only today, thanks for your answer!

The care has been parked for a while. Today i got error codes red. (see post over)

I have to admint i dont quit understand how to do all the steps from the wiki you provided but today i will start to read more.

It might be that you have a worn-out clutch or the guide sleeve is defective (the former is more likely):

Hi, thanks again.

My gearbox is automatic, so not sure if the manual for the manual gearbox is what im needing.

Anyway, i can start the car, but when i try to set it in R or D nothing happens, the gear acts like it is in Neutral. (I can push the car)

The actual gearbox is a manual that has been automated; the automation is external to the gearbox. The link contains the error codes. Have you done a basic setting? It likely needs to be done, at the very least. As the driver doesn't have any direct control of the clutch, if there are faults sensed, drive is disabled. Does the accelerator have any effect?
