A switch for ESP from fusebox

Hello everyone!

I was planning to add a switch for the ESP by doing a detour from the fusebox to the switch and back. But I can't figure out how to get the fusebox out I have removed the two screws from the relay assembly. Found three tabs but where seams like something is stuck above it and I can't see what it wants me to do.

Does someone know?

Firstly why are you wanting to do this? From the manual it does not give any further instructions.....

The only thing I haven't done is disconnecting the lightswitch. Can it really be what is holding it? To why I'm doing this is that sometimes it's fun to be out of control :D

Why not pull the fuse. Several systems interact ABS, ASR and ESP so you may find by switching it off ( either removing the fuse or by fitting a switch ) the other systems complain and may cause fault codes and / or dash warning lights.

I'm aware of the error messages. I'm just tired of pulling fuse 40 all the time. But to add a switch I need to reroute the fuse cable so it pass my switch before closing the loop.

Good Evening,

The only thing fixing the fuse box are the two obvious bolts, you could try being a little more forceful, grip shake and a good yank. The three tabs you have unhooked are in actual fact the main retainers for a simple back cover for the box and not part of its fixing, the back cover has to come off for your task so you have not wasted your time. There are two more for the back cover either side of where all the wires enter the box but leave them for now. I do have a vague memory, it was some time ago, the box like you was stuck after removing the two bolts but it released when I unfixed the relay carrier. I would not trust this very vague memory but you could try loosening the relay carrier fixings if the box will not release after first being a bit more violent. Also the very large bundle of wires going into the box will have a memory of its location and be reluctant to move with the box.

I was at it again today and I was able to turn it and manage to take the back of it out. So now I have a kill switch for fuse.
