A thank you to our membership

Darren C

Admin Team
Good afternoon all,

I hope you are all well and life is being kind to you.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to you all for making this forum such an excellent place to visit. Not only is this community and family vibe typical A2OC and incredibly special, it helps myself and my fellow admin team to manage things effectively. As admins, you know that we selflessly give up our time to run the club for the benefit of all. As volunteers, we aren’t always aware of every indiscretion, but we always do our utmost to be fair and act in the best interests of the club and all of our membership.

I do hope that we achieve this on the whole.

So, from me, as an admin and member, and from my fellow admins, a huge thank you to you all for your contributions, community spirit and family ethics.

All the very best,

Darren

Yes a very big thank you to the admin team for all your hard work.

I must say though, i've found a select few members to be quite argumentative these last few months on the open forum with a tendency to bicker. Very quick to shut down others if their opinion differs or they are willing to try new things.

It's a comment i'm getting from a lot of customers and is putting some off visiting the forum.

It would be nice to see things moving towards being more light hearted again (as the forum always has been) and away from being cynical.

Thanks Steve.

There have been a few incidents of late which we have had to look at, but by and large the community spirit remains in tact. The thanks was as sincere as it was a reminder of the conduct that is expected. We can never forget the ethos of our foundation and that our familial community is the gel that bonds us all together and keeps the ship afloat.

For a club that has existed since c. 2002, I'm incredibly proud that we have managed to upstage social media and continue to host such a great platform for some great cars and people. The advice on these pages remains second to none, the forum style simply works, despite many people rejecting this approach as old fashioned by today's modern standards. We remain true to Stuart Diamond's original day one platform and have bettered it still year on year. This is thanks to our high, clean standards and everyone that contributes with the correct vibe.

Cheers,

Darren

I couldn't agree more mate. Most car communities now seem to be facebook based and whilst they are easy for light scrolling, its great to have the substance and depth of knowledge that this forum provides.

Thanks Steve.
