A1 lease deal - £210/month inc. maintenance and servicing

£6000 over 2 years and you still don't own it..... mmmmm not entirely convinced its a good use of my money. If I was only doing 10k miles a year i might be inclined to risk the 6 month deposit (£1200) on an older Polo or Ka and just run that whilst saving the £210 towards a nother car. Somehow a VW Up! or i10 etc which can be had for aound £110/month (over 3 years) seem better value.

I'd considered a lease car for a car (set up through work, it's so the dealer has a known supply of used cars for the following year), but I don't know how I'd stick to 10k a year:(

Lease cars are an acquired taste I agree, :) All new cars, whether leased, PCP, or bought are going to cost a lot over the short term.

The one benefit I can see is the absolute lack of hassle factor which does appeal to a lot of people however i haven't spent anywhere near £6k on my A2 in the 5+ years ownership and it has depreciated not much more than that in 100k miles.

All very true. Second-hand cars are nearly always cheaper than new cars. Horses for courses :)
