A2 1.2tdi ECON button on the clima-panel function

A short question: Is it correct that Start/stop system is activated only when the ECON button is pressed on the clima-panel?
 
I would assume that is the case, though I think on the Lupo variants with AC & or PAS the start stop is not a function thats available..... only on the basic no AC no PAS variants, as I have.


On most new cars the start stop will activate in any setting just not min cold settings when the AC pump is wanting to work full time
 
The Econ button on the climate control panel does not control the stop start function.
The econ function does not disable the stop start function.
It is controlled by the small 'eco' button next to the ASR button by the gear selector lever.

If you disable ECON (A/C on) it can also disable stop/start. Stop/start is enabled by ECO. Stop/start can also be disabled by a cold engine, a low battery and tiptronic mode. Lupo 3L's with electric steering have no stop/start, whereas A2 1.2's with P/S do. Stop/start on a Lupo 3L can also be disabled by turning the manual heating control up to max.
