Just completed a little trip in my A2 now clocked over 212k. Recent oil pump chain and new dampers all round and she feels great, such fantastic steering feel and directness that most people would scorn until they experience it, so unexpected for a little 'town' car.

Rear seats out as ever but this time as I was on an adventure run from Kinloch Hourn to Barrisdale, some camping gear thermarest and stove were thrown in too. The drive up was superb at 6am sun rising and crusing in the little eco bus whilst making progress where conditons allowed and still easily averaging 60mpg (what is the book figure, I must look that up sometime).

After the adventure into Knoydart wind was picking up so I set up the stove in the back and cooked up some food, perfect, eco wagon turned camper. I then drove out of Kinloch Hourn but was feeling tired from the early rise and energy expended, spotted a great viewpoint to park up. Rear blinds already fitted, thermarest and sleeping bag set up and sleep in the A2 test was a big yes. Nodded off great for a recuperative power nap with the front seats forward and gear in rear foot well to bring level with the flat bootspace. I awakened refreshed and ready for a cuppa at a friend's enroute then evening cruise back on quiet roads through Glen Coe. Perfect day in the most versatile pleasing little wagon ever. What a joy it is owning this car and properly using it to and perhaps beyond its intended abilities. Happy little car it is ?
