I quite like Hubnut on YouTube and was quite happily watching a video on the 2nd car I had ever owned when he mentioned an A2 was in front of him and what an ugly car that was!

I’m tempted to write a strongly worded letter to ‘Points of View’

Couldn’t have put if better myself - Although he specialises in elderly French and British classics that were derided / not as successful as they could have been from new, and he is doing a video on what a good car the Maxi was - which to my eyes is much more controversially “styled“ as the A2 - so you would have thought he’d have a soft spot for our cars!

Agreed for the late 60’s it was quite radical with its tailgate, transverse engine & front wheel drive, double bed with the seats down, a 5 speed box (with a horrible linkage!) I loved mine it was big comfy went quite fast, did I mention it made a double bed in the back

The main problem with anything British Leyland related was rot and mine kept the tradition with flappy door bottoms and a hole in the tailgate you could almost put your hand though at 7 years old!

I love my A2, not ugly one bit in my eyes!

I don't mind Ian but I cringe at some of the work he does on his cars.
I've often thought about contacting him and letting him do a review of the A2s.
And he won't be able to see the triangle of doom he bangs on about
