I've just got a 2002 1.4 petrol SE a week ago, I've downsized from a BMW e46 328 Touring, since the fuel bills were getting a bit crazy recently. I've loved the A2 for ages, my car has actually been in the family, I found it initially with a couple of thousand miles on it for my dad as a 2nd car, so know it's history (to an extent) from relatively new.
Like I say I love the design, packaging and useability of it, just getting used to some little quirks which i'm sure will add to it's personality, like the car rocking with it's wiper on and at standstill
, the buckaroo rocking on the motorway, but I think that novelty might wear off. I'm not adverse to a few mods, my last car had Eibach springs, upgraded brakes and Alpina wheels fiited, but for me, for now, the A2 is great as it came, like I say I think the A2 is greeat as it comes out of the factory. I can see in the future though some FSD's, cruise control etc will start tempting me...
Reading through the forum has reassured me a lot, it's quite a unique car and it's good to know there is a source of info out there. I'm keen to know of Audi indies near Altrincham, or the Cheshire/ South Manchester reigon, I'm not a fan of the stealers, and I've heard enough of Audi's dealers being even worse than BM's.
I'm going to have another trawl through the forums for some answers, got issues with lack of speakers, how to fit a Dension Icelink+ (if possible) potential drooping doors and what I think is a gruff sounding engine.
