i don't know if its 1, 2, 3 or all 4 lol.

car is around 180k

there is a hummy noise, and it is really getting annoying now

looking for any tips and pointers on the job, what parts are easiest to use, anything else i need ?

preparing for a combined bill for a few jobs im looking to get done all at the same time :)

Yes, you need the special tool.

Rear is easier than the front as you do not get involved with running gear.

Lots more you should be aware of, read up on here.

YouTube 'wheel bearing.

To give you a flavour, the first is oriental professional

A DIY version.

Unless you are experienced with 'can be heavy going' , rusted bolts, stubborn spline shafts etc maybe best done by a garage, but insist/check they have the tool.

Repeat, do some reading on here.

Does the noise change upon different steered directions? Spinning each wheel and holding shock absorber might determine. Special tool for bearing required or second front hubs an option. Avoid SKF bearings without the locking ring as they don't press fully home due to the missing tolerance of the said locking ring so making a spacer from old locking ring from old bearing becomes necessary
