A2BA - Come along, take a seat and introduce yourself ...

Good morning gentlemen, my name is Andy and I am a an A2BA addition.
I currently own two, soon to be three A2's, all in the name of creating my own Holy Grail. it may not be everyone's Holy Grail, but to me it is.
I bought my first one years ago due to having always wanting one...I became hooked.
I have a garage full of bits and pieces, as I am a true Womble, others call me tight (Boxy), but I like to think of it as recycling.
I don't want curing, I want help appreciating my cars, if anybody needs help I am happy to share our woes together.
Thank you for listening.
Andy

I only own one A2, the other two belong to my wife, that's my excuse. Currently looking for number 4 for my daughter. I need help, not with any form of A2 addiction, just with finding a yellow A2 for my daughter. :D
You gotta love a yelllow Storm ?

Yes, I s'pose I should chalk my name on the A2BA board too. Project FSI lemon (should've known better at my age / I can't say you didn't warn me) and daily driver TDI 90 with red leather, cruise, MYP 6-speed (and GRJ spacer:rolleyes:, CAYC starter, twice fixed anti-shudder flap). Also can't stop looking at adverts for other A2s and bits of A2s despite having 7 cars currently including a MGB roadster in bits since 1992. Oh dear, I didn't mean to lapse into confession mode. Better stop there.

I’m not really an addict... but I do work in that area so this may be denial talking.

I only have one A2. I have had a maximum of a mere 11 A2 Seats in my house at a time (one was a bench tho) and only three Webastos (Well, 4, but that other one’s from a Jag). And my shed is only partially decorated in bits and pieces.

I do harbour a desire to resurrect an engine-busted A2 as an electric vehicle and keep looking at A2s for my dear mother and father who don’t yet know that it’s their next car... yet.

I can give it up any time... honestly... I’m in control...

Fix Or Repair Daily (though my experience of recent Ford's is all positive) . Wife remembers her FSI reg letters as No F'in Good(NFG) though it was her TDI that had to be recovered tonight after the alternator drive belt decided to stay home while she collected our daughter. Guess I'm off to ECP tomorrow.

Hopefully it's only the belt but it's worth checking the alternator pulley as it's not uncommon for the pulley to seize or actually fall off.

Cheers Spike

Hi everyone,
It seems that I am the only one in this club who hasn't got any mental illnesses at all... I bough my Audi A2 in 2001, it has been replaced by the dealer in November 2002 as they could not fix the electrical problems of the black one. After being a read-only guest I have officially joined to the club on August, 2004 and I am online here in almost every day. When I have moved to Finland the first thing I have checked was that how I can import the car. I am feeling well and I do not want to buy a new car in the rest of my life.
