With my 1000th post, I'm very pleased to announce that @Jeffers66's Colour Storm is coming to live with me. Thank you Jeff for keeping it so well and upgrading it so nicely, which made it ever so easy to say yes :) I'll be picking it up in October - can't wait!

This is going to be 'the special one' which gets to live in the garage and come out for the shows and the occasional blast in the warm and dry. If there was ever a time to put away a nice A2 as a bit of an investment, it's now. I'll just have to resist the temptation to drive it too often, not easy when it's that rewarding behind the wheel :D

In practice, it's already a bit of a challenge rotating use of two A2's and my Volvo convertible. Once my original Crystal blue one gets its next MOT in October , I really am going to have to sell it this time ...

You can’t you can’t sell one of your children what if someone treats it badly ..like putting on cheap tyres or puts cheap supermarket fuel in it ???

Great to hear you bought it Ian - more deserving home I can't think of :) I know you'll look after this masterpiece :)
 
This weeks confession.....

Sold my 1.4 Jaipur to an enthusiast who has had a black A2 from 2 years old, and knew the previous 2 owners! Not yet a club member but I am hopeful he will join.

Then yesterday collected another Tdi, from Nat. The ex A2Steve motor. Gotta keep this one spotless, but thinking of a couple of further mods to make it mine......

Now to get the FSI up together for sale.

Thanks Dave and Jeremy - it will be a challenge keeping it up to Jeff's standards but I hope I don't fall short.

Goodness me that's commitment, 3 on the drive before you can even get behind the wheel legally! :D With your experiences of the petrol ones it will be interesting to see what you think of the diesel.

That would be great Louis, I think that means you will have the same as me 1.4, 1.6 petrol and 1.4 diesel. It would be interesting to see what you prefer, my favourite is still the 1.6fsi as it was the one that got me into these fab cars.

Louis, I'm guessing you're after this one? Hope it being re-advertised today isn't a bad sign ... ?
 
Unfortunately everyone I didn’t get that TDI as it was just so hard work trying to sort a deal out :(

So I’m still on the search for a TDI everyone ;)
 
Oops this happened a couple of weeks ago, 1 became 2... The silver being the newest edition.. Its very different to the blue... Just the 1 thing for me to fix which was done day 2 (the gear stick was non standard, happened to have one that was going to go on the blue). Silver was bought from @Gritty its pretty much immaculate, just got round to giving it the first clean under my ownership, you know the clean where you tend to find little imperfections you missed before... Well didn't really find any! Enjoying the working open sky in this weather.
