A2BA - Come along, take a seat and introduce yourself ...

Well I am Rob or Bob, answer to both, and am an A2BA
Caught the bug last March and bought Jelly, my first TDI Sport. August along came Bean a TDI SE (for my wife). She is still waiting for it to be converted to a DSG!
January I picked up Spud an FSI SE.

Gotta stop now and get all 3 well sorted and up to scratch!

Hopefully it's only the belt but it's worth checking the alternator pulley as it's not uncommon for the pulley to seize or actually fall off.

Cheers Spike
Thankfully it was just the belt, though it's sprung an oil leak. Much as I'd like to have some time off I'm not prepared to buy a modern replacement. :)

... forgive me ...

Nice place to be...

... forgive me ...

Was that a cry for help? ;) lol
Nice piccy, like it ... looking forward to a looksee tomorrow :)

I've told a few peeps but I should probably 'fess up at this point to the A2BA as a whole. I've bought Jeremy's Pure project car.

I now call upon these persons here present, to witness that I agree and accept that two working cars is enough for one man. I promise to you, Volvo, that the A2 breaker will be finished with and the Crystal Blue one will be up for sale at some point ... honest ...

... so why do I have 6 working cars on the drive at the moment (alright, one is being passed to another A2BA member...)

Because you can fit them on there, of course :D

Mine will be full now too - I have to thank my neighbour for asking me if he could park his Range Rover on part of my drive, or it's quite possible there might already have been another one ...

... or two, since it takes up so much room ...

Currently only have 1, but have now acquired a garage space and have come to a deal with someone on a Votex TDI with 95k miles, does need work but should be a good one. He also has another tdi with 65k which I haven’t said no to ;)

More details please. Sounds like a good project.

Well it’s in a very sorry state at the moment, not been looked after, paint is very rough and the interior is missing parts, mechanical wise it needs a new clutch and a new injector which he has. But also has said that he has another a2 in the same colour that I can swap all doors etc with so the paintwork is good. But hopefully will be a good one to get back to a good working condition. More info if it all goes through, which I hope it does!

Yes looks like it needs a bit of tidying, but s long as the basics are there that's all that matters.

Hope it works out okay. As Steve said we can work magic on A2s, just look at what I (with help from people on the forum) achieved with JRV ?

Haha!

I’d suggest that you talk to someone about this addiction but I don’t think I would want to cure anyone.

If my neighbours weren’t already a pain in my .... about the campervan and three household cars I would have another myself as well.

Oh dear I've gone and done it, yes bought A2 number 3!! So now I have finally got one with OSS and it works, car itself a little tatty and interior is well, not the best, the joys of the light upholstery I suppose, I'm hoping the vax will help.

Apart from a good clean there are a couple of minor things to do, but it drives nicely for a 1.4 petrol and low milage so I think it will be worth spending a bit of time on it.

I don't care if there isn't a cure, I am very happy with my addiction

Is that a panda hiding behind the original red one?
