Now we have had ADI show its time for the end of year evening meal. We are returning to a firm favourite with all that have attended past meals with us. The date is 26th November at 19.00. We will be dining in Birmingham at http://www.duetcuisine.co.uk it offers great food be it indian or italian or a fusion of the two ! With great service. It also offers a big secure car park and a travelodge in the same building for those that wish to stop over ---shopping centre just as short trip down the road or try the "bull ring" https://www.travelodge.co.uk/hotels/..._source=google

So please click "attending" in the calendar found here --http://www.a2oc.net/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=101&day=2016-11-26

Hi Mike... Looking forward to this one.. Food is great and I don't think any of the members have ever complained about it... Ever... Service is great too and lovely atmosphere.. Can you please book us 3 and include 2 more with valmir and his partner.. It will be his first outing with a2oc so will make sure he confirms.. Just needs a reminder he forgets everything... Any members who have never been please do... We have a rather good turnout for this one every time and seeing the cars in formation in a nicely lit up surroundings is quite something..

I've just had a look on Duets website for the menu and it says it is being refreshed, it said exactly the same last year.

Please can you book me in for one Mike... Glynis is working evenings and is sorry she can,t make it. Ive just checked on the Travel Lodge website and a double room for the night at Fort Dunlop has gone up to around £117.. last year I paid around £40.. Has the Travel Lodge company cottoned onto the A2 car parts Tax ?.

Thankyou again for arranging what will hopefully be a great social and I look forward to meeting up with everyone.

Dave. :)

Great your coming Dave --- i know the prices fluctuate have you tried hotel price sites as well as direct? Shame Glynis will miss out. see you soon mike and yvonne

Yes shame Glynis can't make it as well.
Not quite as cheap as last year but they do have rooms for £79 (no breakfast), looking at other hotels in the area many are booked up or limited rooms left so price is probably due to supply and demand.

Hi Mike & Yvonne
hope you don't mind if I put a 'Bonnet' request on your thread...

Special Edition will be bringing the bonnet to the social in Birmingham and we're looking for the next volunteer.

Would be great if somebody could take it onto the next destination. Any direction. Any distance. Up to you

KekseKaempfer has kindly offered if no other offers but this is a chance for anyone else to get involved.

More details are on the Bonnet Across Britain thread http://www.a2oc.net/forum/showthread.php?31148-Bonnet-Across-Britain-the-Journey or PM me if you have any questions

Thanks to everyone already taking part

Hilary
