Thanks for the stickers you sent me... I would love to put them on my car... BUT they are the wrong way around... I would like them to have the sticky bit on the front so that you can stick them on the INSIDE of the car and then still be visible from outside... jsut like the Audi Alarm sticker on the small rear windows...

Stuart when you make a new batch can you do them like that? That means you can stick them on the inside of the rear window... I'm loathe to stick anything there on the outside as this bit is ALWAYS dirty... and if you scrape it in winter you will scrape you iced sticker off as well!!!

Just a thought...

Johann,

I understand your concerns but what you have to bear in mind is that unlike other clubs, the A2OC and forum are FREE. That means that in order to cover costs I must rely on donations to the club. As yet I have not broken even on what it costs to annually run the A2OC site and this forum but despite this, it is a passionate hobby of mine (as you can tell) and I am fiercely proud of what the A2OC and forum sites have turned into and so I continue to work on them in my spare time and invest in them when it is needed.

The stickers were created in the middle of last year when hardly any donations had been received. They were designed and produced by another A2 owner in Sweden working in the marketing profession and so through his contacts I was charged a very reasonable price for the quantity of stickers ordered. I agree, the type of sticker you are referring to would have been ideal and definitely my preference, however they were simply too much money to shell out at the time given the young age of the site and the fact that it was coming straight from my pocket!

I am however, fast running out of the current type of sticker and so will be deciding shortly whether or not to replace them with anything. If I do go for the type of sticker that you talk about then the cost will be significant and if members such as yourself are looking for merchandise like this as well as other items such as t-shirts etc then the only option would be to introduce a membership fee in order to cover these costs as well as the site costs unless the donation facility on the main site is used more frequently by members who have not donated already.

Stuart.

I understand your problem... it is a difficult one... maybe a one off joining fee is the answer? Only that will then give you your membership number that entitles you to the 10% discount etc etc... Part of that will then pay for you sticker that you will send as part of the welcome pack... How does that sound?

It is something I am toying with as the moment - including the future access of this forum.

I like the normal sticker.

It stays on very good, and if you stick it on the lower part of the rear window (beneath the wing) it's very visible from the outside but not from the inside.

I'm afraid a inside sticker will be hard to see with the tinted windows on the A2...

Dennis... I've been thinking about your comment on here re tinted windows... in the rear quarterlight window of an A2 there is an original sticker with a picture of an Audi and the word Alarm on it. That is clearly visible through the tinted glass. As is my tax disk on the windscreen... So surely the A2OC ones will be visible (and better protected from the elements) as well?

Here's a picture of my sticker

It's not visible from the inside and highly visible outside. The sticker doesn;t scratch or becomes ugly.

At first I really wanted a inside glass sticker, but I like this one. As said, it's very visible.

BTW, there's no alarm sticker on mine, bet you must have an alarm for that one ??

Dennis UK SE spec A2s come with a standard Audi alarm - hence the sticker...
