A2s in Motorsports?

Has anyone ever completed with an A2 in Motorsport?

Im just renewing my competition licence and club memberships for Sprint and Hillclimb in my Elise, and was having an idle wonder. Obviously the fears re chassis damage are a real thing, but someone may have been brave enough to give it a go?

Sprint/Hillclimbs have a production car class where you dont need any mods like roll-cages, full harness or plumbed in extinguisher etc (although you do need various diver safety items). For a few years I competed in the elise at the weekend and drive it to work on Monday morning.

Theres got.to be scope for this aluminium tub to compete too. It is a surprisingly capable little chassis isn't it.

Where do you hillclimb the Elise? I grew up watching many cars compete over the years at Double hillclimb. Great events.

HI, im in Cornwall, varius venues down here. I used to live further up country so been round Castle combe many a time. Here is a video of me going up a hill.

Sold my historic single seater Tiga and retired from motor racing 12 months ago?!Now there’s a thought race my wife’s A2?!

@carbore very nice, looks like a fairly fast circuit. I was interested as I also own an aluminium tubbed car from the same era, never entered it into ay events tho, just road use.

Hmmm.? A few years ago, I'd say yes. There was an abundance of Petrols with rough interiors that could be stripped- with desirable parts being sold on...

Last time I looked on Auto Trader there were very few A2 in any condition! ?
