abs, brake pads, asr lights etc coming on?

my dash board today illuminated up like ""blackpool lights" with all kinds of lights flashing and beeping! it has done it once before and the rac fixed it. he said it was the egr valve but suely that would not cause the abs asr, brake pads etc lights to come on?

anyone have any experiences like this?
they all went off after switching the ignition off and restarting?

There's no simple answer. You really need a diagnostic scan to see what fault codes were logged

it did it just after a speed bump so was thinking maybe a bad earth? seen a few people mention this on here. just hope it does not do it again!:eek:
 
this is what mine was doing, but after doing a vag-com test and coming up with throttle malfunction, i replaced the throttle body and now it doesnt happen.
