ABS pump problem - please help !

Hi everyone

I'm new member from Poland and I have a huge problem with ABS pump, my unit is completly broken after the crash and I can't buy it anywhere in my country ( car dealer demands almost 1500 pounds !!, they also told me I have to change both - broken controller and hydraulic pump which is ok but it will not fit the new controller as they are no longer producing this controller to fit my pump numbers, so I have to change both ) My car is 2001 1.4 TDI.
If anyone knows where in UK or anywhere I can get it any cheaper ( second hand absolutely ok! ) Please let me know.


These are required part numbers:

8Z0 907 379 B - ABS ( ESP ) controller number
+
8Z0 614 517 C - hydraulic pump number

it can be also:

8Z0 907 375 B - ABS ( ESP ) controller number
+
8Z0 614 517 - hydraulic pump number

I found one on ebay for 160 pounds but the number ends in D and they told me it is a part from Audi A2 from 2003 and it may not fit my car. ( anyone knows?)

I will be very gratefull for any information concerning the problem ( maybe other car fit - polo has the same numbers but 3 first are different, maybe it's just a model marking or an essential difference)

Hello Pepper and welcome to the A2OC!

Sorry to hear of your troubles, finding the right parts at the right price will only get harder now that the A2 is discontinued, but stick with it, because it's a fantastic little car.

I'll reccomend Motors In Motion to you (www.motorsinmotion.piczo.com or email [email protected])

I know that they have recently broken a few A2s - maybe they'll have the bits you need.

Failing that, just keep looking, especially on the German Ebay. The Polo parts may match up, or may not. They'll almost certainly be the same part, but may have different mounting holes or brackets etc.
