Ahh...opensky to broken sky..help!

Treated my OSS to some nice new silicone grease the other day and it's gone and repayef me by breaking. Motor still works so it is either the teeth or more likely one of the cables that has gone (seems to pull unevenly). Problem is the front section closes but the rear glass panel is staying up on one side and refusing to close. Any ideas on how to close the roof again to make it weather tight? Tried the manual approach with the Allen key. Thanks Paul
 
Firstly, remove the motor from under the reading light, it's held in by 3 T25 screws, then it should move freely, so it can be pushed shut.
