I noticed that in the guide for changing the air filter, the person applies oil to the filter.
Am I right in assuming that the person did this because it was a re-usable filter and that the standard replaceable one does not require this?
Just wondering as I'm doing mine for the first time on Friday.
Additionally, with my car being an earlier model (51), would it have the difficult-to-replace fuel filter even if the 40,000 mile service has been recorded in the service record and this should have been done by the dealer about 2 years ago? ie. Is it a permanent problem or just something that happens first-time round?
Thanks,
M
