ok folks as we are quite separated this year due to hotels being booked up and us messing up our booking resulting in us staying in birmingham- i think the evening meal BEFORE the show isn't going to happen. BUT the meal after the show WILL -it will be an early meal so people can get home at a sensible time. No need to decide now as we can sort that on the day.
The meal will be held at the same location as last year and is the same location as the meeting point in the morning so we can convoy in to AITP together.
Here are the details of the meeting point to convoy into AITP.

We meet up in the car park of the Holiday inn corby---http://www.hicorby.com
Holiday Inn Corby-Kettering A43
Geddington Road
Corby
Northants
NN18 8ET
Time wise 8.00 onwards to leave at 8.30 to get to the AITP show for 9.00. You can use the facilities at the hotel and even get breakfast if needed. There are two mcdonald's located a few mins away if you prefer to breakfast there at
McDonald's Corby
65 Corporation Street NN17 1NQ· 01536 400100
Open until 23:00

McDonald's
The Peel Centre, Phoenix Pkwy NN17 5DT · 01536 260748

If you can't get to the meeting point then don't panic you can still get to park with us but the convoy experience is rather good.Tickets are available on the gate at £10 per adult under 16 free. NOTE TICKETS ON THE DAY MEANS YOU CANT ENTER UNTILL AFTER 10.00AM

WE ARE USING THE RED ENTRANCE TO GET TO THE A2OC AREA

Bring the usual chair blanket and sun cream etc as i think its going to be a hot one. All the best mike and yvonne

If anyone has any preferences for cupcakes, please let me know. Otherwise, I will try and do a selection of chocolate, lemon, red velvet and salted caramel ?

The organisers have decided that due to the incredibly hot weather we have been enjoying/enduring there is to be no fires-bbq-gas stoves etc
Fully understand this decision as some of you know there was a bbq fire at this years vag at the manor show that had to be felt with by the emergency services. I hope you understand and please bring drink or get from the vendors as we won’t be doing tea and coffee.
Cheers mike and Yvonne

Cakes made.
Safe travels today or tomorrow folks

My Colour Storm won't be there tomorrow now unfortunately, the paint shop have let me down and I'm quite unhappy with them. Had the arch to paint for 11 days and only recontacted me the day before I needed it back to confirm the paint code as they had lost it...

I may still be along but won't bother with the club stand as Bert is filthy and full of other A2 parts!

We will be travelling down this afternoon and staying near Peterborough, and will meet tomorrow at 8. Looking forward to it. :)

Drive safe! :)

Matt.

Please come on to the stand. Don’t worry about your car. An a2 is an a2 no matter

Safe journey everyone! We'll be there in the morning, it will be an early departure.
Teresa, your cupcakes are the winner.
Tam

A last minute change of plans means it looks like I’m going to be able to make this tomorrow I’ll obviously be entering at the 10am slot but plan on joining you all on the stand if possible

Cheers

Hi everyone, i haven't bought an advanced ticket, but i am debating whether to pop down as it will be my first event with a2oc, as not long passed my test and wanting to get to some events... what are your thoughts.

I was coming to the audi meeting with my husband in his TTS but have decided to take my A2 so we are both going to drive so hope its ok to meet you on the club stand wont get there till 10.00 looking forward to my second social

Hi, sorry not going to make it after all due to family commitments in Kent, a real shame as we were hoping to bring our new TDI and the FSI is now resplendent with its pepperpot wheels.
Hope you all enjoy the day, especially Teresa's cup cakes.

Reubeha and Linda yes that’s great - all are welcome. Rob hope your bringing the storm with you.
Drive safe all. Cheers mike and Yvonne

I wouldn't worry about the state of Bert. Mabel's interior currently looks like someone lives in her!

we had a good day a much improved show from last years. Us early birds with advanced tickets met at the hotel and convoyed straight in through the red lane atabout 8.50. Others then followed in soon after with no problems. Then the wait for 10.00 for general public entry where a few more joined us and they all said they almost drove straight in with minimal queuing at the pay gate. Weather was kind with only one reasonably down poor for 20 mins. The field held up really well and didn’t get muddy at all. The toilets were far better and had cleaning staff at them all day - bless them as it’s hardly a nice job.
We left soon after the trophy’s were handed at 15.00 a few of us went back to the hotel and had a meal which was a really nice end to the day.
I didn’t get many pics as I just don’t like taking cloudy pics (mad I know)
We were next to the Scottish Audi owners club and the French Audi club so with the Germans with us really felt part of Europe lol

Just like to thank all of you for coming even with the sudden return of British summer. I think you will agree it was a good day out with some fine cars on show. The best car for me was the auto Union that we passed driving down-I’ll try and get a pic. Roll on AITP 11.

Thank you to our German friends for making the trip over always a pleasure Patrick and Andre.
Andre has made the trip many times now and his 1.2tdi is fantastic and now quite modified from standard now having opensky ! No easy task to undertake. Also adding the multi function steering wheel with Audi controllers and up and down shift buttons for the automated manual gear box.

Just check out the numbers on the dash ! Converts to 320k miles. And still does over 120 mpg ! Astounding for a modern car let alone a 2003.

Here are a few pics I did take.

Thanks also to Teresa for the delicious cup cakes the salted caramel one I had was right up my street.

It was nice to see Matt and his family return to the social - young Matt had a lovely Black a2 at 17 years old and has now moved on to a lovely black a4 (enough of that lol) his brother Thomas became driving age and now has a lovely black tdi a2 - matts original a2 has stayed in the family with mum using it. So a really nice selection of Audi’s. See you again at Adi I hope.

I think you all will agree that Calvin addressed the issues from last year and him and the crew did a fantastic job of getting the show back to form. Roll on AITP 11
Many thanks mike and Yvonne

Thanks so much for wonderful organisation as always Mike and Yvonne ?

Yes, thanks to Mike and Yvonne for great organisation yet again. The highlight for me was checking out Andre’s amazing mod’s on his 3L. The Open Sky and Tiptronic steering wheel controls are awesome & completed to a very high standard. Special mention for Teresa’s cakes too, they were delicious!

Cheers

Rob
