All Terrain Power Chair Hoist installation in A2 boot

I'm getting to the point of needing a powered wheelchair to get about indoors or out (off road!) over any distance.

I'm keen on an aluminium lightweight all terrain chair that's modular and breaks down into chunks not more than 27kg - the Alber Adventurer - the A2 of the power chairs (see http://www.adventure-news.de/en/technology/modularity.php)! Problem is that although broken down it will pack into the A2 boot area, with room for a laptop bag and assorted odds and ends, the effort of lifting in the chassis module is likely to be too much for me if I'm 'cream crackered'.

My A2 1.2 TDI is quite happy with the power chair's extra 100kg in the boot, so the issue is how to get it in and out as a complete unit, with seat back folded down flat and with both back car seats stowed forward or removed. A powered hoist, with articulated arm mounted in the rear of the boot area seems to be the solution - Carolift 6000 may be suitable for the A2 rear profile, though way over spec in terms of lifting capacity -(see http://www.autoadapt.co.uk/produkter/PDF/Carolift_6000_ENG.pdf). Seems I may also need to upgrade rear springs - if only to cope with the Carolift system extra weight!

Has anyone in UK or Germany carried out such a modification on an A2 yet?

If so, what type of power hoist suits the A2 and a 100kg powerchair?

I'd be grateful for any info available.

Many thanks,

Erling
