Angry Bee

That must have been a bit nerve racking :)

It really was, the engine is wider that the space between the legs and as with the 1.4 it sits with the gearbox side slightly below the crash leg

I think this is the way forward for A2s, a petrol model with a more powerful engine.

It’s a great engine, also has an electronic locking from diff. It very similar to the 1.4 aha engine, they are very different engines however, and mpg wise I can’t see it being great

Very different from a drivability point of view

I can't see the mpg being bad though.

Does anyone have any access to any wiring diagrams for the 1.6fsi or by some chance, the 1.6AVY

A long time since I’ve updated this thread so!

Wiring
I’ve been busy wiring for 7 evenings straight at least 4-5 hours each night, I’m a bit of a novice I’ve done some automotive wiring but on the lead up I had to teach myself how to read the wiring diagrams, Before doing anything I made a spread sheet mapping every join every wire and where it should go, this has proved mainly right but I couldn’t have done it without this as the process of doing this helped me with reading and understanding every aspect of the a2 and lupo engine loom.

There are quite a few differences but lots of spare wires on the fsi loom due to all the bits not neeed which is nice.

Suspension and running gear

I have on the way:

Blistein B6 because I like the standard ride height and the build quality looks great!

Front and rear brakes and discs and splash guards

Top mounts, droplink etc

And new bolts for the front suspension

I will also be getting cast arms on, but I’m going to get my garage to do this as I really am not up for that!

Thanks to @Clackers for helping with bits to replace parts that were damaged or missing from the original car and for some useful parts needed from his breakers.

I am totally in awe of what you are doing Edwrai.
Happy to be of help to you, keep the list coming, it keeps me out of mischief in the evenings lol

Thank you but let’s waiting until it’s done!

To be honest the bit I’m dreading is putting the suspension and drive shaft one etc, as This area I have the least experience!
