Another light/s issue

Leaving work on Friday, I noticed that my dashboard lights were not working. Got out and noticed that the rear right-hand side light was not working.

Got to Halfords, changed the bulb; nothing.

Looked at the front light and that wasn’t working. Changed that; nothing.

In the end I called Audi Roadside Assistance, they sent out the RAC and they couldn’t fix it. Got back to Audi and they sent a guy out on Saturday morning. Guess what, the switch gear or the module associated with it had gone down.

This is the second lighting issue I have had this year, first it was the indicators now this,, am I alone out there..

Not even 1 dead bulb in 21/2 years and 27000m!
Though this posting will no doubt be the kiss of death to one!

Merv, I'm with you on this one. Didn't know whether to respond in case it was the 'kiss of death'. Anyway 4 yrs old in Jan and 44k still on original bulbs!

Well Audi ADT did the biz, swap the unit and all is well now, plus now costs. I drive with me lights on almost 24/7,, force of Scandinavian driving habbits and my original bulbs are still doing well at 24K but the modules can be an issue.
