Anyone got a vintage classic car?

Is the Morris really the opposite of the A2? Both are characterful cars of modest size that deliver fun and satisfaction both in mundane uses and on adventures. A standard MM is slow with the original engine, but slow can be fun as well. When the Minor 1000 arrived it offered decent performance and the potential to tune if it wasn't enough for you. Cesare

Actually the MM is one of the possible opposites of an A2, IMHO, as it's built of steel (not so easy in post-war Britain!) it's a convertible and wasn't exactly the cutting edge in technology of the time, having a sidevalve straight-four engine; Leonard Lord had famously vetoed the advanced boxer engined that Issigonis had conceived for the MM. Then the MM it's quite, uhm, simple, one thing that you can't say about the A2....You might say that the MM is not so diametrically distant from the A2 as a V8 Bristol, but I think that it's anyway a completely different style/ philosophy/ end result.... I like it immensely, of course. :D

Smart car! What modifications have been made to your Gilbern, if any, other than those visible from the photo?

thank you ? I’ve largely tried to keep things period. The car has a Capri LSD and gearbox mates to the Essex V6. Other than that, most things are cosmetic: Halibrand style wheels, RS500 vents in the bonnet and blacked out bumpers and mirrors
