anyone want some springs made

as i cant find anyone who produces aftermarket springs at standard height i am going to have some made, does anyone want a set when i get mine done they will be about £150 a set and i can specify the spec although they will all have to be the same. i am going to get the originals tested and the weitecs and dependent on the results get something probably in between. not sure whether to get progressive or linear rate yet. any ideas?
 
I might be interested, but I would be worried that we are experimenting with something unknown. Where would these be made and who would be coming up with the spec?
 
ye swe are experimenting with something unknown, but then again so am i so the idea is to get it right. the spec will be standard height, but either progressive or in some way modified to get rid of the bump thump crash. just drive a VW golf then get back into the A2. notice the difference? wouldnt the A2 be the perfect car if it soaked up the road like that? I am running Koni FSDs as well but am unhappy with the lowrered weitecs

I might be interested too. I presume you're trying to do something about the incredibly hard suspension. My A2 is not even a sport model and runs on the 15 inch wheels but crashes terribly over fairly ordinary bumps. I understand that the springs have been calculated on the basis of a strangely high total load weight which does not really apply to ordinary use. Any further details on the product you're exploring?

i have a spring manufacturer that will make to order but i just have to decide the spec. Can i suggest that you at least change the shocks to koni fsd s , that will help immensely. you can check out many very useful threads on the site here, you are not alone in this problem!
